Not really the purpose of this thread but, hey, I'm sorry you had to experience that. I've lost beloved pets before it should have been their time as well, and I know how traumatic it can be. Hope you're doing okay.

Not a 5e character, but a character alchemist, would like the power of creating life. With that said it not the 'create a human' life.. But a galaxy or even bigger. .. And micromanage anything inside of it. In the game he would of course start small before entering the big league. With creating super monsters / dragons to take control of a country until he truly understand his powers.
Then the micromanaging begins to see how far he can push it, until probably the planet is either dead or to boring and leave for the next.
To keep himself alive he would create himself a body with no weakness that would be effect of time, food, and so on.
And create clones of himself that would start to micromanaging another galaxy to speed up the process.
Now how would it effect the game he was playing? The game would become as any other game playing with cheats.. Easy and boring. Well of course for the 'party' would enjoy the ride until the madness begins. The players would probably quit.
