I found myself here and i guess im in need of a dm and/or a group of players to help me out on this journey. im just gonna say this so no ones surprised, i know almost nothing about dnd. So if youre down to help a complete noob learn the game just let me know!

Of course! Welcome to TTW, Frosty! You've come to the right place.
So, if you want to play DnD and have never done so, the best place to begin is the Player's Handbook. Right now, 5th edition DnD is most popular around here, but other editions like 3.5 and Pathfinder - not technically DnD, but darned close - are frequently played here too, not to mention far less common systems.
Though I strongly recommend you either get a digital or paper copy of the full player's handbook, if you're looking to dive into 5th edition like most people these days, you can begin with the free web-based System Reference Document just to get a basic feel for the rules: https://5thsrd.org/
Good luck, welcome again and happy gaming here, Frosty!

If you are completely new to D&D, you are in for quite a ride! Its alot of fun, and I'm sure someone around here can help you learn the ropes.
A good place to start might be to glance around The Academy. Its still pretty new (Well, new again. Recently brought back), so bear with us, but you might find some things there to help you out, or someone willing to run you through a basic game to learn the ropes."Ho there wanderer... Stay thy course a moment to indulge an old man." ~Elminster, BG1, just outside Candlekeep
For Evil to triumph, all good men must do is nothing. The corollary to that proverb is that sometimes evil must be done by honorable men for the greater good to triumph. ~Twilight Warriors
